Fabrice Muamba from Bolton Wanderers remained in critical condition on Sunday as he continued his fight for life.
Muamba was rushed to hospital after collapsing at the end of the first half of a quarter-Cup for the FA to Tottenham on Saturday.
It was later confirmed that the 23-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest.
A joint statement issued by the hospital and Bolton, 8: 30 am local time (2030GMT) Sunday said: “Fabrice Muamba remains in a critical condition in the intensive care unit at the Centre of a heart attack in the Hospital of the thorax of London.”
“There will not be another update tonight (Sunday).”
